This morning I attended a 2 hour workshop at my local children’s centre called Save a Baby’s Life.
It was led by a volunteer from the Royal Life Saving Society. (No, they do not seem to go around saving royal lives. Although I am sure they would if needed!)
It really was a useful session. Completely free to attend and aimed at anyone who migh care for babies. The workshop didn’t run through lots but taught us the very important steps to take if baby is unresponsive/not breathing normally or is choking. By the end of the session I think we were all confident in how to give CPR and deal with a choking baby.
We all pray we will never need it, but should our babies need it, we’ll be prepared.
Have a look on their website to find a course near you.
In the meantime, make sure you have at least watched #TheChokables from St John’s Ambulance.
